​Dr. Abul Baki earns Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Designation

Congratulations to Ecofish Water Resources Engineer, Dr. Abul Baki, on earning his licensed Professional Engineer credential. He joins an expanding group of engineering professionals who have demonstrated their continued dedication to higher standards of practice in the industry. Certified professional engineers are legally and ethically responsible for their work, hold public safety paramount, maintain the highest levels of competence, continually upgrade their knowledge through research and education and adhere to a strict code of ethics.

Dr. Baki obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Alberta where he worked on flow characteristics in northern streams and nature-like fishpasses.

Currently, Dr. Baki is using his expertise to design hydraulic structures, develop numerical models, examine fishpasses, and analyze regional water quality data. As a Scientist, he is working on the NSERC Industrial Research and Development Fellowship Project to develop nature-like fishpasses with improved fish use and longevity.
