Ecofish celebrates another successful year at Clean Energy BC’s annual Generate Conference

CEBC Generate 2015 “Thinking Bigger” was another successful event for Ecofish. We participated in the trade show, conference, and awards dinner. During the awards dinner, Ecofish were recognized as part of the project team awarded the Project Excellence Award by Generate for best project of the year, McLymont Creek. Congratulations AltaGas Ltd.! As part of the workshop component of the conference, Ecofish also played a key role in organizing and delivering the short course on permitting and the environment, for a second consecutive year. The one day long course provided updates on the initiatives, challenges, and directions pertaining to the regulatory framework that governs the Clean Energy industry. The course was well attended by proponents, regulators, and practitioners. The day was filled with dynamic speakers including Ecofish Fisheries Biologist Sean Faulkner who shared lessons learned from operational environmental monitoring of run-of-river hydroelectric projects in BC. The course ended with a panel discussion that generated insightful conversation amongst leaders in the clean energy industry, including Adam Lewis, representing the role and responsibility of Qualified Professionals. The Generate Conference is a valued opportunity for us to connect with our clients and peers alike, and as a Gigawatt sponsor we look forward to next year’s event.
