Veronica has 15 years of experience working on environmental initiatives, including watershed restoration, compensation design and construction, project management, population assessment, effectiveness monitoring, community stewardship, and environmental education. She has extensive experience in fish, fish habitat, and wildlife sampling, including working with at-risk species such as Northern Goshawk, Coastal Tailed Frog, Grizzly Bear, Sharp-tailed Snake, and Mountain Goat.
Veronica is also experienced in construction monitoring, mitigation planning, and compensation design, and has successfully constructed thousands of square meters of fish and riparian habitat restoration projects by maximizing partnerships and funding opportunities. Based out of Pemberton, BC, Veronica is a founder and director for Stewardship Pemberton Society, where she has garnered more than $900,000 in grants and donations to support environmental initiatives, including the construction of the One Mile Lake Nature Centre. She is also a long-term Director for the Pemberton Wildlife Association and is the public representative on the Technical Review Committee for the BC Hydro Fish and Wildlife Compensation Program, Lower Mainland Region.
